(b. 1971, Singapore)
Yen Chua's paintings are evocative of surreal, mythical landscapes and stories. Having been to Tibet and India, she acknowledges the pivotal role that these two countries have had on her life and as her work as an artist.
She has also found a way in merging her art and helping those in need in a deeper sense, by conducting Art Therapy classes.
From personal experience of healing and catharsis through art therapy, it has become a form of meditation for her as well as her creative process. Through it, a sense of self-discovery awaits her students and for herself as well.
