Win Pe Myint
(b. 1948, Myanmar)
Win Pe Myint is an established Burmese painter. He graduated from in 1970 at Rangoon Arts and Science University. In addition, he studied under some of the most outstanding art masters - Lun Gywe, Shwe Oung Thame, Paw Oo Thet and Thein Han.
Win Pe Myint has been most noted for his realistic still life works, his ability to work with oil, watercolour and pastel, and his understanding for a balanced composition even in the use of his colour. His works are also done with detail, almost photo-realistic. All these components work together to create a sense of loneliness as what he would like to depict.
