Lim Tiong Ghee

Lim has pared the abstract collage painting down to its simplest essentials of colour, line and texture. From this there is poetry and emotion, a celebration of landscape and tropical flora. Lim has been consistently developing his collage work over the past two decades. He is mainly self-taught. His work has been critically appraised by many and has been shown at The Substation Gallery, Singapore (1992), United Overseas Bank Painting of the Year solo exhibition (1990), Art Salon in Kuala Lumpur (1996), Goethe Institute, Munich, Germany, and Karin Weber Gallery, Hong Kong (2001).
